Beginning Needlepunch / Modern Rug hooking - Learn the basics of punching with yarn or learn some new techniques. This is a great way to use up those odds and ends of yarn we all have laying around!  All levels welcomed! For more advanced Punchers, I'll share some of my new surface techniques!

Students will work on Prepared Monk's cloth, Use of an Oxford Punch Needle & no-slip hoop, some yarns

Punch hooks will be available for use during class; they may be purchased for $35. Embroidery hoops will also be available for use during class.

Students should bring:Scissors,Yarns from your stash they should be worsted weight and heavier. Colors of your choice, maybe we can have a stash pile for sharing. If you have a good 10-12" embroidery hoop, please bring it along.

Class Length: 1-5 hours (Instructor will be available later to help on the project.)

Class Fee: $10.00 + Registration (see Griffin Dyeworks Website for details)

 

 

Other Classes available includng beginner Feltmaking, just drop me a line or give me a call!

Beginner Needle Punch $40.00 includes materials and an Oxford Needle Punch to use. You will explore the different sizes of Oxford Needle Punches and complete a small project that you can take home. Please bring scissors and a 10" or 12" sturdy Embroidery Hoop to use in class, I have a few if you need to borrow one.

Needle Punched Clutch $40.00 includes Monk's Cloth and zippered or snapped lining. This will be a "Hit or Miss" exploration using your own yarns or shared yarns. I will supply Monk's Cloth, Oxford Needle Punches to use(or bring your own), lining and needle and thread.

Materials needed are: assorted yarns to use and or share, they can be any weight (but not novelty or fuzzy) Scissors, Heavy duty 14"(preferred) embriodery hoop.
